Don’t rent a car with Alamo-Enterprise- National (provided via Helvetic Motion AG, Werftstrasse 80, 8302 Kloten), especially at Basel Airport. It’s a scam. All services are only for extra charging you for non-existent and suddenly appeared scratches after express check-out of the car. I've made photos all sides car before left the parking; they made photos one or two hours later with new scratch! And charged me for the damage I didn't make.

I needed a vehicle for only one day so I could travel from Key West to my rheumatologist in Miami. I went on line and booked a car with Hertz. They offered many choices and I decided to splurge and get a Camaro SS convertible. The Hertz website said for the fastest and most convenient experience enter all my info at that point. The wanted my driver's license, e-mail, payment method, and a DNA sample, "DNA was a joke". The Hertz website reviewed my pick up time, date, and location and gave me a confirmation number. When the arranged pick up time approached I took an Uber to the airport. I get to the booth and the lady behind the counter asked me for my last name. She looked on her computer and then she rudely replied, "we have no reservation for you!" So I showed her my confirmation # from the Hertz website and in an even more condescending tone she said "If you just made the reservations on line it does not show up on my computer, and anyways no cars are available!!" At this point she handed me a Hertz brochure and stated that I had to call Hertz and cancel my reservation and went back to what ever it was she was doing on her cell phone before I arrived.
Needless to say I was pissed, not only because Hertz does not let the right hand know what the left hand is doing, but mostly because of the lady's condescending attitude to me the customer.
As I was leaving the gentleman from the Alamo counter said that he over heard what happened and could possibly help me out with a car.... Let me tell you this guy saved the day!! Eleazar... or "E" as he likes to be called not only got me a car but also saved me money! Hats off to any employee that goes above and beyond to make sure customers are happy.... I will NEVER rent from Hertz again!!! I take my car rental needs to Alamo because of employees like "E"!! Thank You for being a Rock Star Eleazar!!

ALAMO!!! Absolute Cheaters, non-co-operative and not at all customer friendly!! NEVER EVER GO FOR ALAMO! Pay $50 extra and go for premium service provider but never on Alamo!! Especially if in Spain.

on vacation family of 5 with 2 kids and a 8 month old. The car over heated we had to pull over and on a freeway, On a hot day had to figure out how to keep the kids cool while we couldn't turn on the air as the car was over heated. We called the company for assistance. we were told they were going to send a tow truck but of course we all couldn't go in the tow truck. We had to figure our way back to the air b&b with out my husband no car seat as we couldn't take there's. That whole after was ruined we had plans to do activists and dinner. my husband was able to get a new rental car but that day was ruined he didn't get back till late. We had to leave the next morning. as much as we wanted to be understanding with the company we are now getting charged for the tow that day, after my husband had to leave us and we had to figure out what we did. We shouldn't have to pay for the Tow the car overheated.

I rented a car for one day from Malaga airport. We booked the cheapest (small) car for 28€ a day.
When we arrived we were informed that we have to wait a bit for this car or they can give us way better one in the same price, as it's their fault. Without any more costs we could have a good nice car, which was clean and everything was perfect. The staff was also incredible nice and helpful. I was stressed at the beginning, as i rented the car for the first time and I'm shocked reading the reviews here. Everything was perfect 🌞

Rented a car in Zurich airport, my flight was deleyed for reason obviusly not adressing to me, and even if my flight number were correctly wrtitten on my rental request, i was told that due to the flight delay my car wasnt there anymore, on the counter i was treated as a child and i was told that i was lucky by receving another car instead as the deley was my fault as Italian. (maybe an internal company policy allowed your workers to have an informal attitude with customers and having jokes with them). Once returned the car they didnt check the car condition even if i ask them to do it in front of me, instead i was told that everything was fine but i week later i've been charged with 500chf fine for smoking inside the car, fun fact? i do not smoke... customer service never replied my calls

Disgusting attitude, rude, rolled her eyes that she was interrupted watching videos with head phones. Made up new rules, increased stated deposits by 1/3. Demanded a cash deposit they would keep for two weeks (1 day rental)

I rented a car with Alamo in Charleston, SC 08/14/22 for 8 days. Wonderful experience. Process was flawless, simple and efficient. Most importantly, the agent was the best. I wish I knew her name to thank her personally. She was nice and professional. I even benefited from an upgrade. And the price was more than reasonable considering the current car rental crisis. I strongly recommend. Thanks Alamo and thanks to the agent for this wonderful experience. I will use Alamo again.
